Please don't try to justify your anger at being pushed around by the government by pretending that the climate problem does not exist, it more than likely does.

Sorry Andy I honestly wasn't getting at you, you're honest, you don't care, perfectly reasonable position given the circumstances in my view.

I was quoting you simply to allow me to state that I do actually care that we are fecking up the world, but that I know there is nothing I can do about it.

I just got into a bit of rant as so many folk have been saying that the science is all pish, it's not, that's what upset me not the fact that you don't care about the environment mate.

Completely agree with C7BLE. Anyone who thinks we are fecking up the world and thinks 6 billion or so farty little human beings can effect the way the universe wants to go are a little blinkered in my view. We will never save the earth; we might just prolongue our existence on it and help preserve some fuel for combustion engines to run for a little longer if we're forward thinking. If increased 'green taxing' is the way forward, then I want to see where the Tony & Gordon show are spending MY money. For interest - look into how much of YOUR personal money they spent/are spending in Iraq.

Will it stop me from buying a 'gas guzzler'... errr no, not until there is a credible alternative.

Tax, tax, tax, but don't come up with a solution. Brown is a complete tw4t.

Also agree with Cable on the climate change, I do think that the human race is contributing to the acceleration of global warming, but my own opinion is that it is something that is going to happen anyway.

The UK contributes something like 2% of total global warming... we are hardly going to make a difference in the scheme of things. I understand that we need to lead the way, but if:

China
India
Pakistan
USA (to a degree)
etc etc

Do not consider the environment, there is little point in us doing it.
I need to check to see when my car was registered to find out if i'm going to get hit with the increased tax. I know it was registered in march, but when i don't know. I do know i paid

Brown really has been stupid by increasing the tax on cars that are already on the road...
Don't forget the second hand market, it's pretty large!
