If you know Conan the Barbarian then you are in not a million miles away. I get to the Surrey meets and occasionally the Herts meet and Ricky run now and again.

I get to the US quite a lot and occassionally book out something better than a Kia Insipid if I'm travelling alone.
The V6 Mustangs are woeful. That's what I got last time from Hertz.
Utter pointless. Even for the US.

A yank tank is on my "to buy" list sometime - Need to get the V8 thing out of my system before we all go onto solar power eco cars.
HI there

When you next go the US rent yourself a C6 Corvette preferably one with Z51 pack if you can, you will be extremely impressed with both the way it handles and the power.

Problem with Hertz is all the Mustang they have on offer are mainly V6's or basic V8's, only way to experience a sorted Mustang is for an owner to take you out in theirs or try to get a ride in a Roush or a Saleen as those are far from bad.

Hi Mikey

Been reading your 46 page thread, very interesting.

Not interested in the power side, but more what you have done on the handling and very impressive how Chris got your car round the small roundabout at 34mph.

So how does your car handle crappy b-roads and how confidence inspiring is it and which mods would you put most of that sucess down to m8?

I bet that took some reading
When Chris did that the only suspension mods was Nitron Track coilovers, corner weighted at ~35 drop. It also had light CE28N's on with ~1/2 wider tyres.
It also had a whiteline front lower brace and a Comptech upper front brace.
It did rub the front wheel archliners on hard corners (and THE roundabout )
I've since added a Cusco rear lower brace and a whiteline front antiroll bar.
To try and eliminate the rubbing, I think the 225 tyres are teh cause!
So I'm going to 215's shortly.
I'm going to add some adjustable rear control arms as I get a bit too much oversteer from the "rear wheel steer" from the control arm & camber being at the limit.

Hello
Hi Si

yep am considering it, got three options

1. Keep Stang and buy S2000 for circa 10k area.
2. Sell Stang and get back in CSL
3. Save like mad and buy a cheap high mile CSL which would take months and I got the urge now.

Favourite option at moment is get an S2K, do handling mods, some R888 tyres and enjoy some track days.
