Default Are S2000 owners overzealous?

A post on PH says thet the S2000 is "A great car let down by an overzealous owner community."

Not sure myself! (About the overzealous bit), if it is true are most enthusiastic car communities ie MX5?

Overzealous means excessivley enthusiastic. I will go along with that. Can't see the problem, and I can't see why that is a let down.

I think most owners of top marques would fall into the same category. I think it's quite complimentary. But probably not mean't as such.

I know but in this context I see it as a critisism.

So, see it as a compliment Jealousy manifests itself in lots of ways.

Sounds like we're on the point of being classed as the "new" MGB owners.

I agree with s2k_nut.

So that would make it, Piston Heads. "A great forum let down by an over-jealous community"

Who knows? I don't claim to.

I wonder if those that criticise would buy a car from an over enthusiastic owner? I know I would knowing that the car would have been cherished and loved. As far as being let down by the overzealous community I think everyone here is very friendly and knowledgable although I have never met anyone in the flesh.

Sour-grapes comes to mind it was probably written by some pimpley snotty Saxo oik whose car looks like a turd on wheels.

Do you have the link?

He owns a Smart Car (Admittedly a Brabus and a Caterham with as Suzuki engine) but I can't take a man who owns a Smart Car seriously

WTF's wrong with people these days; criticism is merely descriptive observation and does not imply a negative. No need to take offence at everything.

Anyway, it's far kinder and probably truer than my criticism of PH!

I do think some S2K owners have an overly optimistic view of how quick their cars are ..... that said, I find the 'community' the best I have met and the most welcoming. I find this site and it's members easily the nicest compared to others I have visited
