Default S2000 OT - your handbrake don't work!!!

Thursday 14/08 at about 5.15pm in a carpark near the Printworks in Manchester. I park the car right next to a Silverstone (reg S2000 OT), quite modified. Just as I am stopping and putting the hood up, I get the sense I am moving forward, bit disoriented, but realise that it actually the Silverstone rolling slowly backwards down the hill... headed straight towrds an expensive Merc. I get out and start pushing the car from behind to stop it rolling. eventually get it stopped. Another passer by helped me hold it until a ladycould find some bricks to put under the tyres.

So, if the owner of this car is on the board, you will now know why your car was bricked and that your handbrake (which was applied) is stuffed.

Didnt have a pen to leave you a message and was late for a meeting. Sorry.

Not nec stuffed. The H/B on these cars is always doing that as the calipers/pads and discs cool, they shrink and lose some traction. ALWAYS put the car in first when parked and h/b applied.

Another good deed by a fellow S2000 Owner What a community we are.

Question - would you have done the same had it been a Z4 / Boxster?

Hard to know which end is the rear on the Boxster
A crumpled rear end wouldn't be noticed on the Z4's ducks arse

Personally I'd do it for any car. No matter how crap they are, sometimes it's someones pride & joy.

Well, with the exception of Z4s & boxsters
