I have recently driven two or three 04/05's with these dual headrests speakers in and in my opinion they are
A lot of treble and no mid or bottom end. Which you would expect looking at the size and design.
I am curently considering a couple of used 04's that have these fitted (~

If you can get them for nowt or next to nowt I think they are. Think of them as tweeters, set the fader to favour the front speakers and it works quite well. If you're paying full whack or even close to full whack they really aren't worth it.

If the rumours of headrest speakers being standard are true, I think it's a good thing. And I have a theory why they'll do it too. I think they produced lots of kits and no-one really went for them. I've not seen another S with them on.

I've been looking a 04's and demo cars over the last two weeks and I would guess 60% have them fitted.

Ah, but Demo cars usually have all the knobs on to try and convince you that you can't do without them. But I didn't even try the radio when I test drove one. My radio was tuned into 150Hz

True, I'd did make a point of trying them as I was very sceptical they were any good and I like my tunes! They lived up to my expectations
