That was him and that is me. I do have some F1 style excuses though:

completely stripped inside, uprated suspension, and a very good driver. The track was also damp.

The M3 is Harsh. Lovely bloke.

Chilled, good luck with the M3 although I have to say after reading your review on it, for someone that is so track focused I am surprised by your choice, as it isnt the CSL. I have driven both manual and SMG E46 M3's neither really did it for me, it always felt too heavy and not focused enough, although I much preferred the SMG to manual, good luck and we look forward to welcoming you back ;-)

I remember when Mark came on one of the early Blurter Meets, and his car was still being run in.

When we were talking at the end he said he managed to keep in touch with the other cars even tho he couldn't VTEC. I took this with a pinch of salt.

Having since been round Oulton Park and Anglesey as a passenger in his car (many thanks matey), there is no doubt he's a bloody quick driver.

Reckon I'd still give him a run for his money tho

Great input Mark.

Interesting reading on the mods front, I for one will take note.

Thanks once again Mark

Sti Vi,

I'm wanting a less track focused car because I'm doing too many miles and I'm planning on hiring caterhams for track days. In fact I'm sharing an R400 with lower on Monday evening.

I've done 54000 miles in 3 years, more than most here. It'll be nice to have a more relaxed and practical car. Although when I tell people that it was my practical choice, it leaves them somewhat perplexed.

Dave,

I knew you didn't believe me, but decided not to press the point. It was clear why it was an incredulous claim, but I knew what I'd done, and that was enough for me.

Strangely, one of the best things about the S, is the amount of pleasure (oo-re missus) I've been able to give people with my passenger rides. Never a disappointed customer. Don't think anyone has screamed as much as Pink Lady though.

Chilled.

As I said we look forward to welcoming you back, when you get bored ;-) ! Is the M3 SMG or Manual?

Manual all the way. I'd have an SMG on a CS or CSL, but that's only because you have to.

Ive just come from an E46 M3 manual back to an S because i found it capable, very fast but very boring if im honest.

Standard for is to soft so coilovers, bush upgrades and geo set up later it handled amazingly and as a car its very very fast..

Im sure you'll enjoy it and your doing a good thing by avoiding SMG its pants!!

Was exactly what I was going to bring up . Was awesome being taken out in the S and chasing PJL round Donny. Gutted I missed the opportunity to go out with you again but maybe I can bag a ride in a caterham some time

Hope you're going to stick around Mark
