My lad's been a bike racer for 3 seasons now and this year is on a Suzuki GSX1000R, which for those of you without bike knowledge, is a lightning storm on 2 wheels.(1062bhp/tonne)
He's also started engineering race cylinder heads and has set up a new flowbench to do the work on engines for his club buddies, being North Glos Road Racing in the west country. Also he works as a CAD/CAM kiddie in a specialist engineering firm, so he knows his stuff.
He's just sent me this site to look at where the S2000 cylinder head is apparently recognised in the tuning trade as about the best production head to be found anywhere.

Some of you may find it interesting to scan through.

Interesting reading.
There's no mention of what happens in VTEC when the valve lift is even greater, or maybe that's implied in the figures.
It just confirms what we all know - the S2000 engine is a belter!!!

Its good, but with any production head, it can be perfected.
And when it comes to racing or serious tuning, it all lies in the cylinder head.
That article takes into account VTEC as all lift ranges are tested.
The combustion chamber on the F20C isnt great though, soddingly large machining marks, det points, hot spots etc etc.
