Default S2000 Cruise Control?

Does anybody know of anyone or even if it is possible to wire in a Honda cruise control system to an S2000 that didn't come with it from the factory?

Why ?

Next you'll be wanting an 'auto' box on it !

The Americans have it so should be straight forward to fit (I think) !

Saw an s2000 with it for breaking, got me thinking, if it was simply a case of swapping ECU's and switches etc. might try it.

Having had cruise on my last car I'd welcome it on pretty much any car given there is no disadvantage to having it. When you don't want to press on and just want to truddle down the motorway it makes such a difference.

I think it should be easy to do as the US car comes with it. How you would do it though is not something I know anything about.

Looks like it is possible to retro-fit if you have all the parts.

Pics & wiring diagram are in the Honda ESM

Unfortunately Rahul, there is one significant problem:

The Americans drive on the wrong side of the road, so the wiring looms, etc, are incompatible.

A JDM may have most of the right bits, but again, UK cars are not pre-wired, IIRC. You might have a lot of ripping & stripping to get it in.

The circuitry is complex, so I wouldn't bother.

It takes away the fun of slapping it back down into 3rd / 4th *delete as applicable, and doing a bit of from time to time too

I've just done 3000 miles in 2 weeks and TC would have been great for the long motorway hauls.
