First impression is another opportunity missed.....

Too hardcore (with no soft top ) for the more casual crowd and not hardcore enough for anyone who might be looking at a more lightweight car for use on track.

Wonder if the wheels are forged?
I can't see a watermark on them.

It is a wierd halfway house.

I'll be interested in the specs on the suspension and wheels. Maybe finally a credible OEM wheel alternative?

And maybe the RE070's fit the standard 17" wheels?

Why oh why oh why oh why oh why does the CR version have VSA ???

Wrong in so many ways, if this car had 300hp and was lighter then I would be having one, if not what is the point ???

I don't see peoples problem with VSA: it can be fully turned off. If it was like the merc system and couldn't be totally turned off, then I could understand.

I wondered the same as Simon - not because of any inherent objection to the system but merely because it seems a bit out of place on what is supposedly more of a stripped-out track version. It would have made more sense to make it an option, along with the stereo and the aircon, and save the weight if it's not wanted.

That's what I was thinking!

Mind you, probably cost as much as Mugens from Honda.

Mind you, if they are OEM, I can't help thinking they'll be heavy.

These plus my incoming wilwoods should be a decent weight reduction

I think it's because it can run in a 'production vehicle' class in the US.

I would have thought an Elise would be a better bet, though.

I was hoping they'd have upgraded the brakes (alloy calipers) at least.
