I would dispute that.
Especially after reading some of the daft questions posted on here!
Not to mention the state many of the body panels are in.

I have found that the best buys are from car ignorant poser types who polish them, and drive around the shops at 30mph with the stereo on. They are serviced by a dealer, and when they are no longer the latest fashion, sell them on.
A club car that has been tinkered with, thrashed and tracked, is hardly such a sensible buy imo.

Just my opinion, however...

You'll find a few of those types on here too.

I wouldn't worry about the torque thing. I have an M3 and after a few miles/minutes swopping back into the S2000 I get used to the lower torque and power/speed etc.

Re buying EU 'parallel' import. Shouldn't be an issue. When I bought back in 2002 I saved over

How many people from this site do you think track their cars? I would be suprised if that figure was greater than 20%.

It is also very easy to find which ones do by searching posts.

Most 'club' cars are well looked after, users of this site understand the need to fit the correct tyres, run the cars in properly using the correct oils, keep the tyres at the correct pressures etc etc

Many 'poseur' types don't and never check the oil etc.

No crapy UK fitted non-microwave alarm
From 04 onwards the alarm on the S2000 has been fitted at the factory and is therefore no loger an issue for imports.

I picked up a new S2000 from Bob Gerard's a few weeks ago. I have to say that I found the whole buying experience very good and the car is absolutely spot on.

Picking this car up was one of the best experiences ever. Got the train from Portsmouth to Leicester, they picked us up from the station and soon we were drooling over our car in the showroom. It was really well prepared and the guys there were as helpful as they had been over the weeks from decision to purchase. Then we had a 150 mile drive back home to get used to the car

The car is indeed an exact UK spec, with VSA fitted. I bought the New Formula Red with Black leather, but you can get metallic finishes at no extra cost. I had the Honda mats fitted and the car prepared with supagard. All in, the car was

Maybe not a lot but there are a lot of mad f**kers oversteering around the salty
countryside.

Or getting involved in testosterone fueled duals on the highways

I would buy a 04 on posers car (minimum oil usage) rather than from
an 'enthusiast'

Russ.

I've currently got around 300bhp and around 280lbft @ 4000rpm and would happily have an S2000 again. You quickly learn to drive around the torque issue and just drop a cog or three
