S2000 Break in
OK, first off, this is the first time that I have (a) started a new topic or (b) posted any pics, so if I screw it up, apologies!
As you might have guessed from the title, some bugger broke into my S today, which is a bit of an arse to say the least. Here's the script:
I was parked in a dodgy looking visitors space whilst visiting a customer in Rawtenstall, Lancashire. Didn't much like the look of the place when I arrived (middle of nowhere and no cameras anywhere, no manned reception and trees between the building and the car park etc.), but didn't have much choice. I parked at 11am and it was done before 12.
They did mine and an Alfa 156 estate that was parked next to me. They got his stereo and TomTom, although his was a cluttered up "asking for it" type car. I suspect either we were simply the two furthest cars from the building or they saw our satnav brackets. I've been toying with changing my setup to make it easily completely removable (vent mount or something easier than screen mount for stealth removal - no windows sucker marks and no issues of it falling off in the summer due to it not being stuck on the screen for long).
Anyway, they've made a bit of a mess, failed to find my TomTom (it's the PDA navigator version, so it was in my suit jacket with me), failed to get my stereo out but popped my boot from the glovebox (presumably found the switch when looking for the satnav) and took my bloody
