PS: I'm a Knowle lad originally. The roads south of that area, and down to the Cotswalds, are petrolhead heaven IMHO!

 

Can't say I ever noticed any extra noise - which is why I ended up flogging the K&N and buying a PRM Racing intake.

Airbox lid off, I can understand. But with the lid on the K&N sounded exactly the same as with the OEM filter to my ear. Ah well, as you say, it's subjective.

 

And the K&N oil is known to bugger up sensors as it deposits its stuff all over them.
Audi A3 and Scooby had issues with this and I speak from Experience. I'll stick with paper thanks.

 

Ditch the cat. and you will just a tad more snort and throttle response.
I know 'cos I done it.

 

Fook the filter.

Just RAW air piling into those pots.


God will decide if any unwanted objects should make their way into your combustion chambers.

Let HIM make the decision on what should and what should not and in the meantime, benefit from unrestricted intake.
