IIRC you removed the air-box lid. This absolutely MURDERS the performance. To put it in perspective when I ran the car with an exposed induction kit in the engine bay (soaking up heat like when you have the lid off) I was being passed by Neil172cup's 172 cup on a rolling start. Not kept up with, passed.
I keep blowing the same horn but the S2000 is very picky about it's air feed so keep it all enclosed IMHO.
If you've not taken the lid off then maybe you are just getting used to it. The warmer ambient temps won't help either as the car does pull well on crisp, cold, dry air

Oh and with the snorkle the filter does get dirty so no harm in giving it a blast of air from the inside with a powered tyre inflator. Could probably do with a re-oil by now as well.

I was fortunate enough to have a blast in a Lambo Gallardo at the weekend........going back to the S just ...er..I'm sorry to say....didn't do it for me anymore....
...The next day I was fine, it was a short lived thing as you get back on the road and blast everyone in your path!
Best to do it the other way round. Drive a Gwizz for a day then go back to it.
I know what you mean though, it's back to the eternal quest for more power.

I think its just you being used to it, my wife has a Diesel X-Type, its not a slouch but feels it next to the S, whereas next to my M5 the S feels slow for the first few miles after ive been drining the M5 then its fine. Think of the bends....

It's probably not your imagination - mine is gutless too....especially at the noraml Vtec point, it just doesn't........so its in at Honda for the next three days for investigation, my best bet is the ECU although the Vtec works on oil pressure so make sure yours is OK. PS ref air induction, rubbish.... the K&N Gen II really makes it go!

I reckon you've just got used to it mate; it's a bit like when you upgrade a hi fi system, it sounds fantastic for a few weeks until your ear becomes used to the sound and then you wonder why you spent all that money.
