Went flying into an island in second gear, the car in front slowed down i had to let off the gas.
Hello back end!
Bit of opp lock and got away with it (more luck than skill)
I can see how easy it is to get into trouble in these things.
Lesson learned.

Why well done? Cos there are so many new people to this board who claim to lose the back end then turn that into a magnificent power slide all under control. Which is bravado IMHO. Whereas you sound like you mopped your brow a bit and then thought long and hard.
The S can snap, a lot of us have been there facing the wrong direction on the road afterwards. We learn and move on.

Lifting during high speed cornering causes a weight transfer to the front. The frontend will grip and turn in and the backend will go light, couple that to a bit of engine braking through the back wheels and physics takes over.

I personally employ the technique to which you refer for the purposes of having some fun and whilst I'm not very good at it, it is good fun and using it allows you to slide the S2000 at speeds that would not be possible just powering it out the corner (lack of torque).
I think nearly everyone has a story to tell with the S2000 - it's just that sort of car

Mines up for sale Kenny (again) ive decided to hell with work I cant wait for them to decide where in the world im going! Plus its still just about a good time to sell. Got my eye on 2 white cars, one an Evo8 the other a JDM STi8
This really is the hardest car selling decision I have had to make. Ive spent far too much on mods on it too, which worries me slightly! Id love to come back and get the blower on there. Maybe one day....

I really fancy an Evo as my next car (with circa 375bhp) but the jury is still out on whether I will be able to afford it without every worrying about services and fuel as an Evo on a budget is not possible!!
I've never regretted selling a car and always felt it was the right decision at the time but I suspect I may regret selling the S2000. In truth I doubt it will sell as I'll be trying to move an Imola Orange S2000, in Scotland from August 10th onwards - owing to the colour and geography it has a limited market and at this time of the year I doubt anyone from Engerland can be bothered to travel so far for a summer car.
