However I agree with Montag... Supercharger.

If you don't have the money for a rebuild / turbo conversation Supercharged is the way forward and will love you straight line power unlike the turbo...

Which if you like the NA power of your S (which you clearly do after looking at all the tinkering you have done!) supercharging is a decent option.

Do it! Boost is best.

I know some may frown about them but I use mine almost all the time. Easy to DIY and I did mine in the comfort of my living room
I did mine in the living room too. Then I ran wires out the front window and watched an evenings telly with a warm arse.

Not a problem fella. It's pissing it down here and I couldn't be arsed fitting it tonight anyway.

I've got plenty of stuff to do yet on her MX5 (She's given me a massive list).

I want to do stuff to mine but don't know what.

Must be a nice position to be in. I still have a decent length list of jobs to complete. Worst of all is swapping over my wishbones, and getting the rear arch rusting

Any worn or tatty interior trim that could be replaced? It's amazing how quickly these bits get scuffed and scratched.

Gary, fit cruise control - would be really useful for your road trip - Just remember when you're on MPH NOT KMH
