Costs are relatively low IMHO based on the above. If you are doing a few more motorway miles and taking it easy for the time being due to your points then you should see a few more k miles out of those tyres. I find mine last pretty well and anyway, they're good fun when the rears wear down.

Front Pads are as per Lloyds post really ~

with Rob.

The main costs you will have will be related to this site and cleaning products.

So far for me in 4 months

Thanks for all the replies everyone - really really useful

I'm so close to putting the order in, it is all I can think about! I will shop around for insurance (I have the spreadsheet ta ) and loans - any thoughts welcome

Only modification at the moment will be a bike rack - otherwise I suspect the insurance hit will be too great.

Also - here's an interesting one.... my driveway is really (really really) steep, and suddenly goes from very steep to flat road, to the point that the S2k I borrowed from the dealer struggles to get down without making horrible scrapey noises.

Closer inspection reveals it is the front "mudflaps" (?) which scrape unless I get the angle exactly right (it's going to be a major pain in the a*se involving a multi-point turn just to get down and up the drive). Do you think this would damage anything other than these "mudflaps" in the long run? Would it maybe bend the bumper where they are attached?

Thanks again
Jo
