Default Running costs of the S2k?

I am one step closer ordering my nice shiny car having identified a willing party to loan me the money at good rates

Next calcs I have to do, are running costs.

So far I've thought of Insurance, Road Tax, Tyres, Brakes (pads & discs), Servicing (inc Oil).

Can anybody else think of anything else !? And how much do you guys pay for tyres, brakes and servicing (say 20-25k miles/annum?)

Thanks in advance
Jo

Thanks

I think I will keep the company fuel card, so apparantly I can do something clever with the tax on private mileage (haven't investigated fully), but alos means fuel card will pay for the oil which will hopefully bring the service cost down.

VTEC will most definately be used , but I'm driving on eggshells for a while due to high points, so the car won't be ragged all the time (in fact probably spend a fair bit of time in the rush hour so no VTEC ).

Jo, service costs are similar to the Audi S3 really, but are are every 9k instead of 19k. But the costs of an Audi service are on average double the Honda's.

I went through my front pads in 17k and they cost

I agree..there are two main sources of outgoings..

1) Insurance, fuel, servicing and tyres...all annual

2) the amount of mods, cosmetic additions, changes etc. that you want to make

The latter are down to your self control but if your main aim is to get yourself in the car, you'll find its not too bad running one.

Thanks Moff - I dont pay for the S3 and have no idea what she costs (company car), insurance quote so far is 1200 quid with 6 points so not too bad I think (assuming they take company car NCB).

Hmmm can't wait for the enjoyment, I will have this car !!! Just have to pretend I can afford it, and maybe live in it?

can u not get your company to insure it for you under their own policy?

If not, with your current NCB, all you need to do is get a letter from your company stating no accidents etc etc.. Thsi is normlaly accepted.
