- why would Honda make these changes known 10 months in advance of them going on sale?? - just home difficult would this make it for Honda to sell S2000's for the rest of this year???

This would be top secret. The sales dealer would lose his job for giving out this info

Hmmmm...............what's that large pink object shaped like a porcine 4 legged creature flying overhead?

The man from Del Monte...he say .........

Still, would be quite nice to know for definite in the next 10 days if this is true or not.

Besides, even if it's 7 months to arrive in the US, wouldn't it take longer to come over here? (Like everything else !!)

This is probably a stupid question, but what's the difference between VTEC and I-VTEC?

Rich...

a new model will make no difference to the simple fact that the S2000 in it's current form snaps knicker elastic at 20 paces

Hhhhm, I wouldn't be too quick to write this off just yet - It sounds like an ideal time to let something slip out into the market about upcoming power increases and redesign especially with (I know some of you will shoot me down in flames for saying this) the V6 Audi TT about to hit the streets, and its picking up great reviews from most of the people that have driven it.

It could be a marketing play from Honda to stop people moving across to Audi (we all know that the US guys like bigger cylinder engines) and the idea that something more powerful is less than a year away should deter the Honda faithful from jumping ship.

Just my 2p

Was thinking along the same lines. I think we need to admit that at some point in 2004/5 this will happen.....the car will be over 6 years old by then and its styling will be somewhat dated.
