It's normal, it won't damage your pads, just be aware there will be a bit of a noise when you use the brakes for the first few times.
Nothig to worry about though.

Yep it will be fine. Just driven my car for the 1st time in 4 weeks. I was amazed it even started. The brakes felt awful and sounded bad too. After 10 miles or so it was fine

A tip if you are going to leave it parked up for a while. Park it in gear and leave the hand brake off. Rear pads can partially seize on to the rear rotors and cause caliper or rotor problems.
Both my S's suffered from this and the stealers love to quote for new rear pads and discs when they get scored.

I found that the non shiny 'rough' bit of the disk - ie the bit where the bolts stick out rusted up real bad which then run over the disk itself. Mine were real bad so I painted them with Hammerite black heat proof paint. Seriously worked well! Dried quick and stopped any rust from then onwards

I used to do some heavy braking/left foot braking everytime I drove off in my car (traffic permitting) to stop the rust building up. Much worse if you park up when wet.
