Hehe, good poitn about the engine - it wasn't running when I tried it.

I'd be suprised if it is going to work at all Jo if it has been sitting outside with the roof down for the last 5 ? weeks

Now this is sad
I timed mine several times as its an 04 the results are

5 seconds down
4 seconds up

i presume the difference is because it drops the windows on the way down .

oh and this is timed with out using the clips

I also watched the Top Gear Z4 v Boxster v S2000 clip last night Jo - as said above, just over 4 seconds to get the roof down after the clips have been released.

Jo,

Yours will be slightly faster than this as yours is also Moonrock - excluding clips 4 seconds to lower the roof.

Out of itnerest, why would it be slower with the engine off?

running from battery rather than alternator? Weaker power supply.
