Default Roof Speed

As everybody knows by now my car was in a prang, and one thing I've noticed is that the roof takes about 9 seconds to go up or down now.

I reckon this indicates the roof mechanism has taken a bang and I want it replacing - all helps towards a write off.

However, I imagine I will need to prove that my roof is now 30% slower than it used t obe / should be (should be 6 secs?). I will phone Honda to see what they say, but does anybody know if there are "official" figures about the roof operation time?

just had an idea why dont we have a hood droping comp to find out whos got the fastest roof. wonder were u can get the mods for souping up ur roof motor!

No good, everything on Kelk's car is slower as it's a Silverstone.

Oh, it might take longer if the engine is not running.

True - but if they take the same time there is definitely something wrong!

- especially if the car has been sitting for a while, we all know how good the S2000 is at retaining charge in the battery.......(or is that just because of the crappy UK alarm system?)
