what a big ol bump but just taken my seals off for a look and the foam is as flat as a pancake. also the seals have started to split in the middle either end and on the left side seal its been repaired by the black glue stuff and on the right it has not.
I think next step is get some glue to sort the unrepaired side and also get some cheap foam to see if it sorts it!
ill keep you posted here.

I couldnt see which part splits when I did mine - it all seemed to be one piece to me - anyone got a decent picture of it??
Repositioned my new foam yesterday - hopefully it will work this time, but haven't glued anything....
Cheers

Tried some of the fixes mentioned in this thread but sadly it didn't work for me, it made it worse.
However what did work for me, is if you have the original foam on your seals use silicone sealer to smooth over (slightly) the foam. Also there is a little gap just under the foam which can cause an issue which gradually leaks water in.
Real PITA.

Give up gents. It is a waste of time IMHO. I have had 2 of the things now, and they both leaked to a certain extent.
99 and an 04 both with new/nearly new roofs, new seals and catches and after a good downpoor there would always be a water ingress.

Yep i tried the mod also & made it worse :-(
So far greased seals, put some hosing on the latch pins, put some washers under the strikers in hope to create a tighter bond when shut & tried this mod also - NO JOY
Next mod is to make the latches adjustable - getting bored of it now tho.

A disappointing update.
I took the rubber seals off. Stuck the splitting rubber together with black witch, tried to seal the foam and more BW to stop any water getting in. I made sure I reconnected the rubber correctly. I think I did!
If anything, it's worse! But I can't see how/where water is getting in. Anyone know exactly where it's getting into the rails? Is is actually soaking through the roof (can't see how, no splits/holes etc.). Even if the water is coming through where the rubber seal is screwed in, I fail to see how it lets SO much in...... Both sides too, although considerably worse on passenger side.
Anyone else? Any other tips/suggestions? Can I buy replacement rubber seals with original foam etc. already there? Would this be any guarantee anyway if it's leaking in some other way.
