Roof finally bit the dust
My plaggy rear window finally hopped off it's mortal coil tonight, not even very cold
anyway, my options are to
1. Drive to Swansea - can he do a glass rear window upgrade for me?
2. One of the mainstream suppliers like Monsoon
3. Ebay and fit myself
4. Ebay and get someone to fit
I'm a contractor so i dont fancy option 1 as it'll cost me a days invoice plus petrol to drive there so i'm going to be paying silly money for the roof
i could wait till in between contracts i suppose.
any options i'm missing? if i buy a roof is it a real bast to fit? i've had it stripped back there to remove that seal round the back so i know it's a bit of a ballache
i am searching before you ask
EDIT
these dudes do mobile fitting:

Monsoon have wifi so I spent a day working in their waiting room.
Although the difference in cost between Swansea and Monsoon could end up being your day rate.

Other option... I dropped off the S at Jack Smith's and got train home (admittedly to Bristol, so a bit easier) one Saturday and picked it up the next. Takes time out your weekend but I assume that's not contracted time!

Nearly 5hrs on the slow coach to nowhere
I reckon I'll try and buy a used roof, I want the glass screen next although if the next one lasts 12 yrs that will be good

If you can get hold of a glass screen send it to them 48hrs before, drive down and wait for the roof to be fitted.
It ain't that far. Have a day out

Right there with you. I had about a 4" split this morning, that's now turned a corner and made a bit of an L shape with a zig zag. Everytime I put the roof down it seems to double in size. Not bad for a 14 year old roof I suppose.

I can't see a sig?
EDIT my settings
I have taken the roof half off before so realise there is pain but its either a day incl 400 miles in traffic or two days, 400 miles plus 9 hrs on a frickin train. Given I spend my life on trains I ain't keen
I could just leave the HT on and fix it when I finish work
Or get the selotape out
