Default Roof dosn´t fold down?

Yesterday it was a nice weather and I took my S2K-06 out for a first ride this year. But when I tried to fold down the roof nothing happend. I thought I forgot the procedure so I repeated; engine on, car stands still, hand brake up, release the two hooks in roof front and then use the folding-switch. But nothing at all happends? Is there anything more I forgot? Or what? The car has been stored in the garage all winter with disconnected battery. I checked the fuses but they seems to be OK.
For me it looks like something protecting the folding-motors/function to start, I beleave there is a switch in the hand brake, are there any switches also in the two hooks in the front of the roof? What more is checked before the signal "ready-to-fold" goes from the folding switch to the folding motors?

Handbrake and vehicle speed sensor could prevent the roof motors from starting.

Is it a GT ? I'm wondering if there is a "hard top fitted" switch in one of the latches that might be stuck on ?

The roof folding was OK when I last tested it before winter storage. During the winter I took out the radio - it´s a little bit tight and tricky to get it in/out and maybe the roof-switch connector was affected. I don´t know if the cable and connector passes by the back of the radio?
And no -it´s not a GT and it has no hardtop.

If you took the radio out i assume you will have had to lift the centre console as your car is an 06 facelift.

I did not lift the centre console away, you can remove the radio by first removing the radio-cover and then take out the radio. But the cable for the roof-switch maybe pass on the back side of the radio?

Thank you for the hand-brake-on check, I will check.

If it was the speed sensor I think that some other (driving-)functions also should be affected, not only the roof folding.

Did you tilt the center console to make the radio door come off more easily? As richmc said, check that the handbrake indicator light is working. Btw. Have you goodled word 'tilt'? I just found a nice Easter Egg .
