Re a replacement, search Jack Smith on here. Loads of threads from very happy customers and a lot cheaper than you'd expect.

To see if your roof is catching put some tape over the hole and put your roof down a few times, will tear through the tape if that's the case.

You could possibly sew and patch that rather than drop 300 notes straight off.

I believe he's closing his business down. I saw a thread posted today displaying a for sale sign outside his workshop

Not to tell everyone his business but, when I was down there a couple of weeks ago, he told me he is in the process of buying the unit (garage) that he works out of. He said he was finalising the buy from a relative, unless that fell through?! He wouldn't move otherwise.
