Default the roof cover thingy - do I need it??

I picked up my 02 car the other week and was initially told it did have the cover for the soft top but they could not find it and would pinch one from another car for me to have when one cam in.

My guy at the dealer is currently ignoring my emails (Trident Honda - Surbiton) which is slightly Obviously I can go in and kick up loads of sh1t and get the cover but is it actually worth it as do I actually need it?

I have read some stuff on here that nobody uses it but if you are doing long distances with the roof down does dust etc get into the mechanism of the roof and do it harm??

Would appreciate any opinions

think the consensus was that it just gets put in the attic, worth getting it for when you sell it on though as the next person might expect it to be there.

Or some money refunded. That would be more useful.

Have a search because we all discussed it at length but it was not a consensus that no one used it. I was among the group who uses it regularly. I guess it all depends on your factors such as when you use it, where it is kept, what the use of the car is for etc.

I'd insist on the dealer providing you with the cover purely from principal...... but as already mentioned you may find the next owner wants it..... or more to the point he/she will have a reason to knock you down on price if you don't have everything that the car should come with!

Is useful as if you have a garage and it's a nice weekend then can leave on and park in garage with top down for the w/end, car looks better with it on.

If you don't have a garage then the person you sell the car to may, kick some butt!

Nobody's mentioned how much it costs. Can't remember exactly but it's a LOT so definitely worth insisting you get it.

Get the dealer to give you some money - then you can buy one of mine

To answer your question - do you need it? Are you a fish, and do you already have a bicycle?
