Rockercover bolt
Hi,
I adjusted my valve clearances last week and snapped one of the rocker cover bolts , no problem as it came out easily but i still needed one as they have a hex head on and are an inch long M8?, IIRC. The problem is, oil can leak through.
GarageR kindly sent me one through the post, but when i got the envelope it looks like someone had nicked it as there was nothing inside, they probably thought there was money in the envelope.
There is a scrappy a bit away from me with an old civic in, does anyone know if they are a similar bolt and also where i could buy one except Honda (I notice shopman has bought some stainless steel ones).
Should of just ordered one from Honda
Cheers

I'm not exactly sure which bolt you mean.
If it's one of the four 6x18 plug cover bolts (part number: 96600-0601807), then they are only used on the S2000.
If it's one of the five 6x12 bolts which hold the cam cover on (part number: 90013-PCX-000) then they are used on quite a lot of Hondas (not just for cam covers) but mainly newer ones from the mid 2000s.
What year is the Civic in the scrap yard?
Chris.
