Default Rocker cover painting

My rocker cover paint has flaked so it's time to re paint it. Instead of doing it red again I'd like to make it look like the Spoon one (until I get the real thing). So, does anyone have the paint code for Spoon Yellow or a very close match?

I've got a box from a Spoon rad cap (legit) and some of the packaging is yellow, is this Spoon Yellow and could take this and get the colour mixed? Just an idea...

Thanks sneakfish, so if I take the code DIC 166 to a paint mixer they can make an near exact copy of Spoon Yellow?

Yes, plus if halfords can manage it then a paint shop shouldn't struggle. I'd go somewhere with a good reputation though.

Dont you need some form of high temperature paint/powder coating on rocker covers?

I've done some research on it and people seem to think it will be fine so i'll give it a go.

The only other thing i'm not sure about is what sort of primer to use on it, i'm going to try and take it back to bear metal. If I get the primer wrong I guess it will probably just flake again.

Recommendation on which primer to use anyone?

does anyone know what material the rocker cover is made from?

Would it be best to use an etch or epoxy primer?
