Turtle, a how to would be really useful.

I just want to strip off the rough red paint and expose the shiny metal underneath.

I had mine powder coated along with my Blitz hardpipe kit , i was going to go for polished then clear powdercoat but it is a b1tch to keep clean plus the clear coat can yellow over time from the heat.

Where did you get the work done Andy? It has to have been cheaper than getting one pre-painted from Rick's....

is that ceramic paint on the manifold which you added yourself Andy? Its something Peter (PJL) has done and which has had an appreciable affect on his HKS manifold which ships without a heatshield (unlike the OEM).

I'm not sure its ceramic paint but I know it is some kind of high temp paint to stop heat soak in the engine bay(it nearly glows red this beast when its had a good run )
