Hi have fitted a berk 63mm decat car runs great with no CEL, but it just smells a bit rich i know that removing the cat will alter the emissions it just seems more than i expected so am i being paraniod or could this do any damage

Yep unicorn farts aren't the best smell but it should be that instead of unburned fuel - have you reset the ECU and let the fuel trims adjust themselves to the missing cat ?

The other thing if you have something like torque and an ODB2 reader you could monitor the fuel trims to see if there's really anythign wrong http://www.obd-codes.com/faq/fuel-trims.php

Its normal, you may even notice a puff of white smoke after sitting at lights/traffic. Just unburnt fuel. I dont get either anymore which means im used to it or the ECU has adapted to it. Been running with a decat for 3 years now with no issues

Great thanks for the replys have reset the ECU will see how it goes just me being paraniod, got some funny comments though
