Sundance....
I had the map sensor replaced under warrenty due to the recall One of the many things i've found from this very forum
Just complain to your dealer that the car has a tendency to do a bit of juddering
at high load and they should replace it.
It's a doddle to fit, the new one comes with a clip-on cover + tyrap to stop the problem happening again.
Hope this helps

I'll take a different approach to this since I had the same problem.
I fit a grounding kit - problem solved. It's like a little gnome grabs the revs at 1,000 and doesn't let it drop.
The problem resurfaced when I opened the airbox cover to hear the nice touring car sound. Didn't do it for more than a couple of hours as the car started shuddering again - closed the box, problem solved.
So it may be greater air to fuel ratio that does this perhaps? That said the grounding kit may have done nothing else, but it fixed that problem - good enough for me!

The aibox thing is because of the massive rise in intake temp - the MAP struggles to meter air in that case.
Earthing kits DO help - most jap cars have crap earthing... If the prob has just surfaced it wont be an earth though.

My revs drop in neutral quite a lot and I have been fairly certain for sometime that my MAP sensor is dodgy - as I also got the odd sngine stuttering which is usually cured by a quick sharp whack of the MAP.
May speak to my stealer about it, but its a hard one to prove and replicate to them.
