Thumbs down Revs and Air Box

Right Two things tonight. 1 after running my car for 3 weeks with the air box lid off i put it back on last sat. Now i cant feel any power gain with the lid on. any one else found this makes no difference?

2 Only ever done one start a lights and i light the rear wheels up. What do you lot Rev too to get a good start?

1. It makes a big difference.

2. Around 6500 apparently, im not at the stage where im ready to try it yet though only having had the car a short while!

Doesn't the ECU adjust over time? So it might take a while for it to return to "normal"

When I took the lid off I thought it was slower. However know I think its not so much slower, more it lacks throttle response.

My opinion is keep the lid on and buy an HKS if you want better sound, thats what I am working towards.

Stock Airbox (K&N to further sharpen throttle) and HKS is definately the way to go.

No doubt Tim or Lloyd will be along to tell you to buy an Invidia..

I just need more money first. Had a bonus from work at the start of the month and made a flippant comment about spending money on an exhaust and got some stupid arsed response from gf about buying carpet for the house.
