Default replacement headlight cover

Hi does anyone know if or where you can get the replacement headlight cover or lens, as mine is badly smudged not scratched. Or what do you suggest , maybe to polish it out with.

cheers for any help

Brasso might polish out light scratches, then polish with a plastic cleaner, like Plexus.

You could try the Breakers list at the top of the UK For sale & Wanted forum

PS change your location to UK, otherwise people will think you're a septic

The front cover is clipped and bonded to the housing so not a easy job to remove

you can polish out some scratches, but it's difficult

being plastic, you would think it would be easy, but it's not

I have a plastic lens on a watch that I rub down with 1500 grade wet and dry (wet) followed by Solvol Autosol chrome cleaner - this sequence brings the lens up like new

it doesn't work on the headlamp, which I suspect is made of harder plastic, and some fine scratches are hard to shift

I'll experiment today and let you know whether I find a solution/formula/sequence

might be useful for the faq

Don't forget if you polish the lens you may well change the optic properties and distort the beam.

Just a thought come MOT time.

Use a random orbit polisher like the porter cable as shown in this thread...
