I try and apply this as carefully as possible, but on a black car it is a nightmare. I only get a few spots on the paintwork, but the only way to get it off is to use polish or Scratch X
Try applying it to the roof using a sponge (and don't use too much of the product).

Let the roof dry off naturally in the sun and then try dabbing the roof with a soft cotton cloth to try and pick up as much product as possible.

If you do find you get any on the paintwork then wipe it off immediately with a rag (don't let it dry or it will stain like a b******!!)

i used the vinyl kit then the fabric dye as my roof was in poor condition when i bought it. i used the autoglym bumper care stuff but it went patchy and didnt like it, tried raggtopp and that didnt remove the patchyness no tried the renovo roof dye and that returned it back to new again.

def use a sponge as a brush splashes the dye everywhere!

I already do that, still get one or two spots on the paintwork.

Don't worry about it Neil - people will be too mesmerised by your jet black roof to notice a couple of oily marks on your paintwork
