I would have thought so but, if not, you can buy a direct warranty elsewhere.

I would think that as long as you've had the services done you would be ok.
We've got a Nov 2000 which was just over a month out on the warranty. Very glad to have it when the gearbox was replaced last month (didn't cover the clutch though). Would have cost over 2k otherwise (we paid about 500 for 2 yr warranty).

Provided your HONDA service history is ENTIRELY complete, you can still take out extended warranty from Honda UP TO 5 years from original registration date.
So when you are almost at 5 years, take out a fresh extended warranty for the longest you can at that moment, or whatever you want if less.

You could be right Neil.
I'm going on what my Original supplying garage (John Cooper) told me last November and they definitely told me 5 years.
As you may be aware, Cooper have now given up the Honda flag because they are 'too busy' with Mini-Coopers now. It has been passed for that part of the south coast, to Yeomans Honda and they are just moving next week from Ferring to Littlehampton.
