Removing speedo cluster surround
Hi all I seem to have a strange squealiing/rubbing noise coming from the air vent on the driver side of the speedo cluster.
Im thinking of trying to take out this part of the dash but just not sure ow its done, could someone give me a quick pointer how to remove it.
Thanks

Remove the lower steering cowel - 3 screws
Unclip and remove the upper cowel
Remove the two hidden screw covers under the top of the speedo cover - remove two screws
Unbolt the forward pair of column bolts from the steering column bracket.
Gently pull the entire speedo cover forward so that it's unclipped.
Once that's done you can get your hand behind to unplug the connectors, two large plugs for the heater / audio , one smaller for the heated screen, and one for the starter button.
Once that's done, pull the wheel directly down and then carefully slide the entire surround out of the dashboard - the speedo remains in place. I always lower the indicator and the washer stalk to give a little more clearance.
Takes about 15 minutes once you know what you're doing.
