Removing front plate mounting...
Had some new plates made at the weekend and had a slightly smaller one made for the front so was planning on removing the black plastic mounting. Took the plate off and removed the bolts but seemed to be attached at both ends somehow. Didnt have loads of time to mess around but wondered if anyone could let me know how easy it is and how its done?
Burnie, aka sideways on fire, i noticed u had done this so any help would be appreciated!

Some people have cut the bolts off after prising the numberplate holder off, but it's easier if you take the front bumper off and then unbolt them. You will be left with two relatively large holes that will need filling/covering.

You can see the problem here! Two captive nuts and the bolts will only come out from behind the bumper.
I did this on my 06 using centre console clips painted

They are having a splurge on plates again around here.
Hardly surprising with all the lazy-ass ANPR they use nowadays.

I used the clips and some touch up paint, get the other half to paint them, its like a nail varnish brush, piece of cake for her.
Stick them on with a little bit of superglue
