Which side is it Craig, just checking my stock. If you can, see if you can get the code cast into the upper side something like L2M or R2M.

That was the bolt I had to remove with a hack saw

LTB - there is always hardtopguy we can try

Chris - I've typed a lengthy post then somehow lost it In essence I've had a final kick in the teeth - swopped out one control rod with my Megan Racing replacement, only to discover that the control rod on the driver's side (same location as the seized lower wishbone bolt) has also seized into the bushing.

The car is still on axle stands and I either get the bolt out myself during the week using a blowtorch or, and I think the preferable option, reconnect the ball joint and get the nut back onto the bolt (thread a little knackered from a gentle tickle with a lump hammer) and limp to Atherstone for Chris to use his reciprocal saw on

This means the following likely casualties next Sunday:

(1) Bolts 24 and 25 in diagram below (not left/right specific Chris but both are on the driver's side)

(2) cam collars? Not sure how Chris will get them out. Impact wrenches are good but the cam collars are really seized into those bushes...

Let me know if you want me to buy them from ny local dealer tomorrow as I can pick them up on Wednesday morning when I get the CBR serviced. Alternatively, can you get them at trade price?

i think there is your problem craig, i dont think you could ever get enough lever-edge on the badly seized bolts, when i sorted mine(and 3 out of the five where bad) i had it on a car lift and used a 2ft breaker bar and i'd been soaking them in plus-gas for 2 weeks.
hope you get it sorted soon

Yesterday morning I was under the car with a 2 foot breaker bar on the 24mm cam collar whilst my mate had the bush in a pair of pump pliers with two pairs of bike handlebars on the pump plier handles to give him extra leverage. Still we could not shift it. (sorry Chris, not paying attention to your "fragile" bush warning above)

Yesterday afternoon I had a G clamp on the rear bolt under such load that it had already easily folded a 4mm metal plate used as a bridge over the end of the bolt. Even with the G clamp in this extreme force application and me also whacking the bolt with a 4lb lump hammer, it did not budge a millimetre.

I'd love to spend ten mins alone in a room with the Honda technician who came up with these bushes....
