Removing a/c - do I leave this out?
Well I'm removing a/c for my wire tuck. I've taken out what appears the be the a/c side of the heater matrix, but I just want to know if I have to gut this or just keep it out all together (this would be ideal!)
Any help much appreciated!!

Unless you want to run with out a fan and recirculation, (which would also make the heater not work as there would be no airflow through it), I would put it back in the car
Since you are just removing the a/c, you can remove the a/c heat exchanger from that box. There are a bunch of small few screws around the edges that you remove that will allow you to split the box and then you can remove the rad and close the box.

My goal is just to remove the aircon for now as I'm tucking the engine bay, the aircon pipes look hideous until I get custom ones made. I figured that half of the box was all to do with aircon, I didn't realise that fan was used for the heater as well
I think you can save up to 15kg removing all the aircon parts, but I'm not trying to weight save, it's purely visual.
Ah well, back goes the box. Shame really as it created a nice spot for my fuse box etc
