Side badges will come off in 2 minutes flat.......easy. Glue took me longer to remove (10-15 minutes per badge?) using WD40 but you may want to try the bug/tar remover instead.

Front/rear badges........probably about 10 minutes each once I'd worked out what to do from Rick's instructions. Then same sort of time as above for glue removal.

Net......does not take a long time at all. Once you've sussed what to do, badge removal is easy. Main time taken was on glue removal afterwards.

thanks for that....the clean look does appeal and the shinyness of the badges looks a bit cheesy to me.....this is one area where BMW does it better

Another tip is to use a tape-type dental floss, and not the normal fibre-type dental floss, as the fibre-type floss breaks too easily. Johnson and Johnson used to make a tape-type dental floss under the Reach brand.

Probabaly not what you meant though!

I have had to remove the front and rear badges twice now (once to fit the red ones and again to re-fit the original Silverstone ones prior to selling the car) and found these instructions very useful:

Badeg removal intrsuctions from HandA

All the above tips are good too, be sure to mask around the badges before starting though to prevent any scratching of surrounding paint.

Here is my Silverstone car recently (last Saturday) relieved of its 'Honda' side badges.

As others have said - getting the badges off is a doddle. Removal of the glue is a pain - I found a combination of Isopropyl Alcohol, WD40 and Autoglym extra gloss protectant (I dont know what they put in this stuff, but it is brilliant at removing sticky stuff like tar and glue!) along with a little patience worked well. Finished off with a Fairy liquid wash and a damned good P21S waxing and you really wouldnt know the badges where ever there!

Cheers , thanks for the pics.

I think I will remove the Honda badges and leave the S2000 badge on, IMO looks a little bare without it.

ps love the number plate
