Default Reducing weight - any other ideas?

Guys,

I have managed to shed some weight from the S, the aim was the remove as much weight as possible but without going mental, spending mega money and making it look as stock as possible. Plus it was a bit of fun.

If anyone has any other idea's let me know?

1. Added a lightweight manifold
2. Remove manifold heatshield
3. Single pipe exhaust
4. Decat
5. Gutted the boot of everything, tools, spare wheel etc
6. Added lightweight radiator stays
7. Lightweight battery 6KG's!
8. Removed valve cover
9. Removed metal shield but retained rubber shield under tip of bonnet
10. Removed most of underbonnet strengthing
11. Removed most of underboot strenthging
12. Removed CD collection and added a USB Mp3 headunit with a 16GB microSD stick
12. Swift springs installed 1KG shed whoo hoo!
13. Rota's wheels -1 KG
14. Air pump system, and associated piping etc removed.
15. Hardtop latches removed.

Unfortunately a heavy SC was added but i reckon I've negated a lot of it. Its not finished atheistically and the gutting of bonnet/boot aluminium bits weighted 4kG's.

Can anyone think of any other weight reductions, but which fit the criteria above, will spend some money but not loads. The only other thing left is lightweight wheels which I'm looking at - good unsprung mass.

Based on past weigh in's it *could* now weigh or potentially 1220KG's

Some of the stuff i did today.

Cheers

not up to speed with s2000 tuning and whats available but unsprung mass is the way to look.

Lightweight flywheel and lightweight wheels, somthing stupid like 1kg of unsprung mass is worth around 25kg on the move.

other thing is lightweight seats i suppose.

You could fill up that empty boot with helium balloons.

And take a huge dump.

Yeah your pretty limited with unsprung mass apart from wheels, tyres, brakes, suspension bits.

Rich, yup I'm always off for a poop the other day i weighted my poop and it was 0.3 KG's

I was thinking about lightweight side mirrors+housing - but they look shit!

Probably all the weight saving you need on my thread!

Personally I wouldn't bother on a car with your power, and which doesn't go on track.

Remove the front RSJ and replace with aluminium truss.

10kg right there.

Sod you ARBs off and run stiffer springs - 10kg

Get rid of ABS - 3kg

Rear bumper bar - 5kg

Boot well - 3kg

Remove HID ballasts and run halogen 2-3kg
