Rediculous Insurance Payout Offer

£6k is too high, I would think condition doesn't make a huge amount difference unless it's really tatty which clearly yours isn't. They'll just look at year and mileage and give you the top book figure.
Don't know how they work with mods, whether they factor in new replacement parts or just give you a percentage of the new cost replacement.
Good luck with the negotiations.

I think if I was in the same position and got £3.5K I'd be quite pleased. Mine's not exactly as good condition, but that's a personal thing as to whether polish makes a car worth more.
So I didn't vote, as clearly the poll was "rediculous".

Why is the poll ridiculous? No offence Dembo but it doesn't surprise me you would be happy with £3.5k for yours the condition it's in. I saw it about 2yrs ago at an MK meet and even then it was in far poorer condition than mine ever was! You can't polish a turd but mine never was one to begin with so I don't really get why you think this?

Mods, pointless anyone carrying on posting in this, I have my answer from a friend who has access to CAP. If people don't know what that is then they clearly have no idea about what is market value for any car.
Lock please.

I'd rather have a low milage good quality 13 year old s2000 than a high miler ran down 08 that nobody ever looked after.
There's 20yr old crx's that come very close to the selling price of an early s2000s just because they are in a very good state, clearly a good state early s2000 can be worth as much as a newer one just by being in better nick.
