Red S
I'm going to spray my original alloys. Anyone got some pics of some good looking standard wheels on a red S? Don't know whether to spray them silver again or matt or gloss black.

Silver & red?

How much more will powdercoat cost? Can I do it myself? I'm sure I will end up with silver. Black looks a bit pimped.

Black, white or Standard colour.
You can do it yourself for sure, it will last for a wee while then once winter hits it will be chips galore. I've painted several peoples cars alloys myself including my old 16's on my S and it just doesn't last.
Spend extra cash on a professional, who will use a good method and products.

Nomadic - that does look good although the whole setup looks well suited as a package.
For a standard motor I'd sway towards Phil's comment. Just had the bermuda blue standard wheels done in grey and although red is a completely different contrast that colour would go well too.
Oh PP - what a dilema!!! Can you not use photoshop or similar to pin them to a picture of your motor?

Out of your choices I'd keep it silver. I think silver still looks fantastic against red. If it was my choice though, I'd also look into anthracite as phil suggested or even possibly a dark bronze.
I think I've a paint code for the GT100 wheels on a bookmark somewhere which I thought might be a nice colour to paint any of the previous standard wheels.
I know you are looking pics so I started looking through the NFR thread in the gallery section but every one is lowered and I'm not how standard yours is. Sorry.
