It was a few weeks ago now, so it's probably past the time of complaining.

Happy to name the dealer if people want me to, but I didn't think it was allowed?

Definitely report the guy on the desk to his superiors. Arnold Clarke pride themselves on their customers service and ALL staff go though a training programme about how they expect their staff to interact with customers.
