Now booked in for underseal. Last MOT she failed for a blowy exhaust throwing the lambda out. When the local tyre dudes fixed it with a new gasket we had a look underneath and there was some surface rust starting to show.
Now booked in @ JR Classics in sunny Donny for late july.
Next is to sort the suspension with Dixon i think

Rog, I start back at work Monday doing 4 days to start with, 1 wfh. Made that decision when it had rained for about 6 weeks solid
I'm going to buy an old knacker M, 2008s seem to be about 25k mark, not as rich as you
got another extension thru till Jan, that'll be 3 years in one place, been very lucky how things dropped

No question I prefer the paddles. It is lightening quick and a superb blip as it changes down. The manual I also turned out a far worse MPG at about 17 compared with 22 on the DCT (even with a few mad moments ) Also there are some cool lights to guide your gear changes like on F1 cars. I find going back to a full manual stick shift, taking a hand off the wheel interrupts your flow. Plus although it is better than the old E46 the manual change is nowhere near a good S2000 box. You can flip between auto and paddles with a button on the wheel. Once you get used to it the intensity and focus of driving is great; then after acting like Mr Hide you can just slip back into Dr Jeckyl mode like a proper OAP. Well, I can, you won't yet awhile
While on that theme, the cruise control I find is good for discipline on motorway drives. Also it lets you speed up briefly to get past cnuts but then settle back towarp cruise speed automagically.

Ha ha, CC is a pet hate of mine. The golf and vectra both have that and i never ever use it, including when i used to do 25k/yr in the vec...
I will need to drive some. Having sproggo arrive has removed my 'me time' but 'er indoors has signed off my capex for now at least. She has taken a shine to the drop top but that will only be an 08 as they are another 5k on top and my scottish genes restrict such frippery
