Rear tyre change and now poor handling - advice for front tyres
#11
Hi all,
I changed the front tyres to match the rears. Much better. Feels more controlled now. I'll get the alignment checked and share the findings with TGM - they took a look over my car and test drove it and said it felt normal. That was after changing all tyres.
Cheers

I've not given my car the beans in the past weeks as the weather has been pretty naff here in South of England. I couldn't find GY6's in stock for the front size so i purchased GY5's on the front (GY6's on the rear). Seems ok though. But, i honestly cannot really remember if it felt much different with the Hankook Ventus all around before i started changing tyres. I since moved onto refurbing the rocker/valve cover which is done now. A bit fiddly refitting but got there in the end!

I was looking to replace the rears on mine soon- usually rear twice as often as fronts- and was going to go PS5s as I can get them easier and cheaper! than 4s, might not bother and stick to 4s until I need to do all.

Always replace tires in pairs -- front & rear. We learned that lesson with the wife's MX5 last year. Just last week, I picked up a screw on my right rear tire (Michelin PSS with at least another season of tread left!) so I replaced both with the PS4. Car feels great.
