I second this. This kind of setup gives the most ideal sound stage in the car!
I had this kind of setup in my old CTR and never fails to impress me

I have the setup of speakers in the rear, and it does make a big difference to the audio set up.
You can clearly see the speakers in the photos below.
If you installing new speakers all round I would suggest a 4 channel amp

I have tried the ones behind the headrest (self made the install), at a medium voume they give you a headache.
One behind the seat are better if a bit more muffled.

Why would you want muffled speakers?

I've yet to discover what the audio capabilites are of the S2000 but certainly in all the other cars I've had (hatchbacks) the most ideal SQ setup for me is to have decent set of components up front and one sub in the rear. So all the details of vocals etc etc at the front as thats where you are and then bass at the rear.
With all this a nice 4 channel amp will suffice. 2 channels to power the front components and then the other 2 bridged to run the sub.
Again with bass not sure how it will sounds by not really having much of a boot. The air displacement could well be problematic in the S

Shouldn't be at a medium volume. 95% front 5% rear sounds great.

I have tried different %'s you get to the point where having a low ratio you can tell that much.

But it somewhat has an odd soundstage.
