Default Rear slow puncture

I've managed to pick up a slow puncture on the drivers side rear S02.

Since the rears only have 4-5K on them, my thought is to try and find a part worn rear S02 to balance out the other good passenger side rear.

Has anyone done this and more importantly is it a good idea?

As long as it is not on the sidewall or has a huge nail which will tear an unrepairable chunk out the tyre, there is a good chance you can just get it repaired.

Go as a kwik-fit fitter!

I haven't tried it for the tyres on the S, but I've had tyres repaired in the past.

Gazzer is spot on. You can get it repaired if it is not the side wall. My car had a repair in one of the rear SO2's when I bought it. IIRC they don't recommend doing it more than once per tyre.

I would worry more about uneven wear on across an axle rather than a fixed puncture! If it ain't repairable I would change both - especially this time of year

See if you can get it plugged first, it will be a lot cheaper!

I had a slow puncture in my right front, after topping it up one day I noticed that the valve that was leaking - quick trip to the local tyre place and they replaced the valve for free.

Just had the rear drivers side tyre looked at by Top Gear Tyres in Reading (very good service and competitive prices) and they found a 2 inch nail in the tyre.

Plugged and avoided having to fork out
