I have done a search and am trying to locate the drain holes to no avail.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or even better show me a picture where the drain holes are that let the water run off at the rear?

The holes that drain the water from the hood are just behind the door lock fitting.
You can just see them if you look down through the hood mechanism when it is down.
They emerge near the bottom of the rear wheelarch-pour some water around the hood area and you will see where it comes out.
Good idea to clear out the leaves occasionally to stop it flooding the boot.
