Default Rear Caliper Assembly

Probably a silly question, but, could a brake caliper assembly from the right hand side of the car be fitted to the left hand side of the car. My rear left hand caliper has seized and it looks like the only way I'll get my car back on the road in time for Le mans is to buy another assembly from a scrappy.

I dont think they are, the insides would be the same but the cailpers are handed i thought.

have you not had the chance to strip them down and clean and re build?

Unfortunatly I havn't got time between now and when I leave for Le Mans, working non-stop before I go.

Do you happen to know if the calipers are the same on all years of car? Mine is and MY00.

They aren't the same - I managed to put the offside caliper on the onside rear wheel last month - it only became apparent when I tried to fit the dust shield and there was no way it could be orientated to fit on

Thanks Craig, I guessed that would be the case.
